"Understanding the Future of Sustainable Energy"
New challenges from global climate change to national security requires us to evaluate our current fossil fuel energy strategy. However, at our current scale of energy consumption it is not trivial to implement an environmentally friendly sustainable energy strategy without compromising economic competitiveness, and national security. A vision of the Future Grid of 2060 is developed that address our current energy challenges including global climate change from nationally secured energy resources in an economically flexible manner from technically feasible technologies.
Through this website, the viewer should garner an understanding of energy challenges, and potential energy alternatives for both stationary electric power and transportation sector and an understanding of sustainable energy transformations to come in the near future.
